My approach to teaching yoga is down to earth and aimed at making yoga as inclusive as possible. Movement can be both vigorous and mellow, physical and subtle, serious and playful, complicated and simple (sometimes all at once!) My goal as a teacher is help you navigate these contradictions so that you find the practice that best suits and sustains your mind, body and spirit.

I dabbled in yoga for over a decade before settling into a steady practice in 2012. Throughout young adulthood, I loved fitness but I found myself craving more than just movement and sweat. My practice deepened even more after moving to New Mexico in 2014 where I connected with inspiring teachers. In 2018 I completed my 200 hour teaching certification with the Pranakriya School of Yoga and have been teaching regularly ever since. I have also completed several courses for teaching PreK-5th grade children’s yoga and tween/teen yoga with Yoga Ed. In 2022, I completed 300 hours of study with Mindful Strength with an emphasis on science, strength and inclusion.

I love to teach all kinds of yogis: children, adults and seniors. I really enjoy working with beginners, everyday active folks, and people who enjoy realistic challenge (no pretzling or headstanding in my classes but we may do some mindful pushups.) My passion for teaching movement runs deep no matter the angle of class or the phase of the practitioner before me!
